Uli Jon Roth (Solo)
After touring to support Beyond The Astral Skies, Uli took a hiatus from the public eye to concentrate further on classical music. He returned in 1995 with Sky of Avalon's Prologue To the Symphonic Legends. Where Beyond the Astral Skies had strong leanings towards classical music, Prologue was unmistakably classical music fused with the voice of the Sky Guitar.
In 1998, Uli returned to the concert stage by joining Michael Schenker and Joe Satriani on the G3 tour. Two years later he would release the two-disc album Transcendental Sky Guitar (Vol. I and II). The following year he joined up with his friends from UFO and Jack Bruce to play a number of new and classic songs, covering the works of Uli Jon Roth, UFO, Cream, and Jimi Hendrix. This concert would be captured in the CD and DVD recordings of Legends Of Rock - Live At Castle Donington. The end of 2003 produced the third Transcendental Sky Guitar album: Metamorphosis, a rendition of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, with a "fifth" season added on, Uli's own creation.
Years in the making, the first volume of the Symphonic Legends, Under A Dark Sky, was released in September 2008, credited under both Uli Jon Roth and Sky of Avalon.
