In the past, a musician would learn a piece of music by adjusting the speed of their record player and then methodically practice along with the slower version of the song. 33 RPM brings a little back from a time of LPs and record players, just without the scratches.
33 RPM is an excellent tool to transcribe music, by leveraging the power of QuickTime to provide an easy way to slow down, speed up, and loop your media — all without changing the pitch of the music. But if you enjoy those chipmunk-like voices, 33 RPM also has you covered with independent controls to alter the pitch and speed of your audio.
EdenGraph is a graphing calculator, built for Mac OS X, which is able to plot two-dimensional graphs using standard algebraic or trigonometric functions. Many mathematical packages only allow for static, rendered images of graphs, whereas EdenGraph lets the user dynamically shift, track, or magnify the current graph.
EdenGraph complements Mac OS X's methodology: the power of UNIX with an elegant, easy-to-use, and intuitive user interface. EdenGraph aims to provide simplicity and usability, while harnessing the power and legacy of UNIX.
Available as open-source freeware.
During the command-line era of computing, archiving files involved cryptic commands such as tar -xvf somefile.tar. However, since those days, the masses have come to use computers, and they expect an easy to use system with graphical elements and interaction. The days of the command-line interface are distant, and expecting the common user to resort to those older methods is normally out of the question. This is where GUI Tar steps in.
GUI Tar is a wrapper application which acts as the front end to the 7za, tar, gzip, bzip2, uncompress, unrar, unzip, and zip UNIX utilities. The operating system itself handles the complicated work, while GUI Tar provides a pleasant and easy method to interact with these system tools. GUI Tar is divided into two sections: Extractor and Compressor.
GUI Tar Extractor offers the functionality to uncompress and extract files from archives. The following files can be opened by Extractor: .7z, .tar, .tgz, .tar.gz, .dmg.gz, .svgz, .gz, .tar.z, .z, .Z, .tar.Z, .taz, .tbz, .tbz2, .bz, .bz2, .rar, and .zip.
GUI Tar Compressor can compress and/or archive a collection of files in .7z, .bz2, .tar, .tbz, .tgz, .gz, .Z, or .zip formats. Archive files and folders from multiple locations, instead of being restricted to just one directory.
The Platform Independent Game Engine (PIGE) has been designed as a set of tools to easily allow a developer to create a game which can be ported to multiple computing platforms with relative ease. PIGE makes use of cross-platform programming tools such as OpenGL, OpenAL, and the C language.
This gaming engine is separated into two main sections, the core code and the operating system specific header files. The core source code is platform neutral and requires no true modification when compiled and run. However, due to small inconsistencies between platforms, particular areas of PIGE require some functions to be written or modified for a particular operating system. This is where the OS specific header files come in, which are included and removed, depending on which system is running PIGE.
Welcome to Torenheim, the latest of a plethoria of fantasy realms. Magic, known as the Essence, runs as freely as air and water in this world. Warlocks and wytches have dedicated their studies to mastering and controlling the Essence. Psychomancer features Myrlandria, an initiate wytch.
Psychomancer is a text-based adventure/RPG game, reminiscent of Sierra On-line's Quest for Glory games. In it's current incarnation, it is a text based game, fused with the air of nostalgia of the parser games from the 1980s.
Select one of the four magical disciplines (Sorcery, Elementalism, Psychomancy, Spirit) to help your sorceress, Myrlandria, recover the Sacred Kewpie Doll of Coney Island and escape from the Angwyn Cult temple. Puzzles will result in different solutions, depending on which discipline you decide to follow.
